Field Manager

The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs.

We are seeking a Field Manager to fulfill the below tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assists in conducting MSMEs mapping and needs assessment in the Bekaa and South regions
  • Develop fieldwork plans, activity timelines, and implementation SOPs.
  • Conducts and Oversees the outreach dimension and gives info sessions about Nawaya's training and incubation programs in the Bekaa and South regions
  • Supervise and mentor field officers, trainers, coaches and local delivery partners.
  • Oversees preparing all training content and allocation of materials such as stationary, supplies, M&E forms, and certificates when needed prior to training sessions
  • Oversees ToTs, training/incubation sessions, and pitching and relays each upcoming issue to the Program Manager
  • Monitor implementation quality through site visits, spot checks, and direct observation.
  • Supports the Program Manager and Coordinator in the design and development of program strategies along with various concerned stakeholders by ensuring their alignment with Nawaya strategies.
  • Supports Program Manager in the submission of project funds and quality narrative reports, ensuring compliance with donor requirements
  • Submit weekly and monthly field reports to the Program Coordinator and M&E Unit.
  • Track key activity milestones and escalate risks or delays and identifies gaps and weaknesses in operations and reports to Program Manager with proposed solutions
  • Ensures effective program financial management for their Budgets, including procurement process (between coaches and procurement officer), project implementation, compliance and project financial reporting
  • Represents Nawaya in various platforms and maintains positive relationships with donors and other relevant stakeholders regarding Nawaya activities
  • Forms connections with the beneficiaries to identify support needs, referrals, and stories for Comms, and gives general information updates on the beneficiary for the purpose of having success stories "made available"
  • Ensures issuance of certificates and filling appropriately beneficiaries' attendance
  • Responsible for curriculum adaptation based on observations from the field, interactions with participants, and own expertise.
  • Provides support for Comms in events in the preparation part and on the day
  • Supports in important data entry related information required for various activities under the program
  • Supports Training and Incubation with any participants-related problems that may arise and follows up with them
  • Assists funded beneficiaries in the field when purchasing items for their projects which will be taken more thoroughly with coaches in the incubation stage
  • Organizes and chairs mentorship events, peer-to-peer sessions, exhibitions and public events... and assists beneficiaries when participating in those events while communicating and briefing the Program Manager on the outcomes of these events.
  • Provides marketing and communications with qualitative data throughout each phase of Nawaya's implementation, especially human-interest stories and success stories
  • Ensures that alumni sign up to the Nawaya Alumni Facebook group
  • Ensures that all M&E documents are delivered on time according to established schedules, and maintains effective and close communication with M&E Officers to report and explain any delays, missing data, discrepancies, etc. well in advance of M&E reporting deadlines
  • Networks and builds connections with stakeholders in the targeted areas that would support the various programs and help serve the online database of value chain actors, job fairs, facebook group, newsletter...
  • Liaises with educational institutions and existing businesses to identify external training and internships or job shadowing opportunities for the creation of the Business Support Specialists
  • Oversees the early-stage entrepreneurship education activity in various schools and coordinates closely with all related stakeholders
  • Oversees the employability program related activities: training, coaching, technical courses and apprenticeship while coordinating closely with the trainer/coach and the Program Coordinator and Manager
  • Creates WhatsApp groups for all program participants and ensures proper communication is established and networking is formed
  • Coordinates partners activities at field level and provides technical support
  • Implements any additional tasks as communicated by Program Manager and Deputy Director.

Education:

Rural Development, Business degree - or Communication degree

Experience:

At least 5 years working experience in the field, preferably in the rural areas - Coaching experience is a plus. NGO Experience is a plus. Agriculture Experience is mandatory.
