The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs.
We are seeking an Outreach Officer to fulfill the below tasks and responsibilities:
The Outreach Officer reports directly to the Program Coordinator and is responsible for conducting outreach activities and enrolling participants for the Pre-GIL Entrepreneurship Readiness & Life Skills Enhancement WhatsApp Self-Paced Program, implemented by The Nawaya Network.
Target Areas:
Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and South Lebanon (youth currently displaced and staying in shelters or schools)
Target Group:
The program targets youth with a clear focus on displaced individuals affected by the current situation. Eligible participants should meet the following criteria:
Youth aged 14–23, with priority given to those aged 14–20.
Able to read and write.
Demonstrate interest in developing their mindset and life skills and commit to completing the training program.
Open to both Lebanese and non-Lebanese participants, with particular focus on displaced youth.
Ensure inclusion of at least 2% youth with disabilities.
Ensure at least 50% female participation.
Geographic focus: Mount Lebanon, South Lebanon, and Beirut.
Priority given to youth who are out of school and out of employment (NEET).
Field Work Tasks:
Conducts outreach activities and information sessions to introduce youth to the Pre-GIL Entrepreneurship Readiness & Life Skills Enhancement WhatsApp Self-Paced Program.
Reach out to and register 100 to 130 eligible youth from the listed areas
Ensures that participants understand the program structure and are committed to completing the training.
Coordinates with schools, shelters, and community actors hosting displaced youth to facilitate outreach and participant registration.
Supports the Program Coordinator in monitoring outreach progress and reports on the number of youth reached and enrolled.
Assists participants in joining the program’s WhatsApp communication channels and ensures they can properly access the training materials.
Provides regular updates on outreach progress and challenges encountered in the field.
Ensures that all participant data collected during outreach is accurate and properly documented.
Experience:
Previous experience in outreach, community mobilization, or youth engagement is preferred.
Experience working with vulnerable or displaced youth is considered an asset.
