Research and Business Development Consultant

The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs.

We are seeking a Research and Business Development Consultant to fulfill the below tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conducts research and identifies key skills needed in the local and global markets
  • Conducts detailed market assessment research for identification of employers interested to join our "Pool of Employers"
  • Conducts assessments and carries out a series of meetings with various Nawaya and SE Factory departments to better understand the objectives of each and to identify the competitive advantage
  • Based on the research and assessments, identifies revenue-generating opportunities within the Employment Hub program and develops a Business Plan to implement the various revenue streams
  • In close coordination with the Finance Manager, works on the financial projections of the business model to offer an indication of expected revenues vs. expenses on an annual basis for the coming three years
  • Identifies synergies and opportunities for coordination and collaboration between the various Nawaya and SE Factory departments
  • Meets regularly with the Employment Hub and SE Factory teams and acts as the focal point between the departments and ensures ongoing coordination amongst them (i.e. outreach, partnerships, finance, marketing, training, and employment)
  • Oversees the establishment of internal systems to set up the smooth implementation of the "Revenue Generation' Business Plan (including referral process, marketing plan, and payment procedures)
  • Oversees the work of the program team, including the Partnership Specialists, Marketing/Design team, Finance team, Procurement team, and M&E and provides them with the needed guidance and support to implement their tasks in a timely manner
  • Reports directly to the Director and Deputy Director every two weeks and provides updates on the program implementation, achievements, and challenges
  • Identifies opportunities for additional revenue-generating streams outside the Employment Hub program to help Nawaya establish a financial sustainability plan
  • Communicates ethically, clearly and explicitly to concerned program staff.
  • Demonstrates a team spirit while ensuring effectiveness in meeting the expected objectives.
  • Implements any additional tasks as communicated by Nawaya Top Management.

 

Experience:

Proven experience working as a business development officer or similar role.
