The Near East Foundation (NEF) is seeking candidates for Field Officers position to be based in the field. For 100 years, NEF has worked to build more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive communities in the Middle East and Africa through education, governance, and economic development initiatives. Working through a network of country offices and local partners, NEF currently operates in eight countries: Armenia, Jordan, Lebanon, Mali, Morocco, Palestine, Senegal and Sudan. Its programs are organized around three themes: Peacebuilding, Sustainable Agriculture, and Microenterprise Development.
Position Description
The Field Officer is a member of Near East Foundation team in Lebanon. The purpose of the Field Officer position is to coordinate, follow up and contribute to the partners’ activities as planned in a BPRM-supported project. This 1-year project will reduce household economic vulnerability and reliance on harmful coping strategies by increasing access to livelihoods and protection information and skills; home-based income-generating activities; and training and career guidance linked to savings and protection for adolescents.

Responsibilities
The Field Officer will:
Supervise and evaluate activities of the program and the field work
Propose and implement plans of works after discussion of strategies and partners and head office;
Contribute to establishing and implementing operational work plans, setting clear targets and activity plans per activities/trainings in direct coordination with head office and partners;
Assign tasks to staff members of allocated area of implementation and provide follow up and guidance;
Facilitate the implementation of the project as per agreed on workplans
Ensure smooth exchange between partners and volunteers’ program, beneficiaries, and the community;
Provide technical support as needed;
Contribute in ongoing field assessments and data collection and entry as/when required;
Provide information and advice for the team, beneficiaries and walk ins on existing services;
Collaborate with partners and other agencies when required;
Plan, coordinate and facilitate in distribution of materials when needed;
Support quality implementation of the activities through regular field visits;
Ensure that data is accurately collected, entered, and shared on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis;
Maintain records, reports problems or concerns to head office and partners;
Strong capacity in sharing information and keeping always concerned people informed;
Strong ability to work as a part of a Team (including with partner)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
