Area Finance & Administration Coordinator

Take initiatives to strengthening accountability and cost-effectiveness including for internal controls for the area and sub-offices, and by partners. Develop, enter and monitor the Area Office’s annual budget and quality assure project/donor budgets. Ensure compliance with NCA and donor requirements for finance and administration on area and sub-office levels as well as with partners. This includes quality and timely deliveries in the yearly financial cycle of e.g. budgets, allocations, transfers and reporting to Head Office and back donors. Carry out (for Area Office) and supervise (for North Iraq) bookings in NCA’s global financial system and produce monthly and annual financial reports. Organize external audits of annual financial statements and project accounts. Follow-up and ensure adherence to government regulations including for renewal of NCA’s registrations, payment of taxes and social security contributions. Carry out financial monitoring visits/internal audits to countries in the area and pro-actively address issues of low burn-rates, non-compliance, high risks and other deficiencies. Conduct partner assessments on finance & administration and make recommendations. Contribute to grant kick-off and exit workshops with partners for Syria and Lebanon. Organize capacity development for NCA staff and partners.
