Community Capacity Building Coordinator

The Community Capacity Building Coordinator is expected to represent Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Lebanon in a responsible manner and always to act in accordance with the NRC Code of Conduct.   BACKGROUND NRC is implementing a capacity building project targeting the service providers and community representatives in Palestinian camps in Lebanon since 2011.  The project provides set of Camp Management based trainings as well as support through coaching and out sourcing needed specific technical trainings. Recently, and in response to the Syrian crisis and to comply with UNHCR plan, NRC is designing a Collective Center Management pilot project in which a local partner is going to be trained and supported to manage collective centers in two East and South Lebanon.   In order to implement the two similar projects, NRC needs a community capacity building coordinator to manage the day to day activities of and to supervise the CCBOs.     Duties and responsibilities:   With the support and consultation      of projects leader manage the day to day implementation of both capacity      building projects in the designated areas. With      consultation with the projects leader setup up activities work plans and      budgets with follow up and monitoring. Design      monitoring tools for project activities to ensure the achievement of      projects outcomes and outputs. Manage      and supervise the CCBOs and lead them in conducting ISP/CCM and other      relevant trainings. Lead      training modules adaptation and contextualization when necessary. Lead      and provide support to the local implementing partners for the CCMs in the      designated locations. Organize      and lead coaching sessions with projects beneficiaries. Participate      in the training events as a trainer when necessary. to prepare monthly monitoring      reports (outputs, activities, issues) to facilitate the contact between      Project Manager and relevant field actors    to network and liaise with      projects beneficiaries international and national actors at field level as      necessary To coordinate with other existing      core activities (Shelter, education and Information Counseling and Legal      assistance- ICLA) for possible synergies.   Specific duties and responsibilities to      facilitate, lead and attend relevant meetings and assessments at Field      level  to lead      and facilitate selected workshops and trainings to ensure the training activities      are implemented as planned to advise on aspects of project      implementation as appropriate to support      procurement processes (materials to be procured will be decided in      cooperation with the project team) to give support other NRC programs when      needed     EXPERIENCE REQUIRED   At      least 3 years of proven experience in designing & facilitating      training programs At      least 3 years of proven experience in community sensitization/      mobilization. Strong      documentation, research and report writing skills. Strong      language skills (Arabic and English verbal + written) Experience      in working with local NGOs & CBOs Experience      in coaching methodologies/techniques Experience      in and familiarity with project documents (proposals, LFAs, budgets)   EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS University      degree level
