Driver

The Driver is expected to represent Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Lebanon in a respectful and professional manner and always act in accordance with NRC Code of Conduct. JOB PURPOSE 1.Transport staff and cargo from Beirut office and maintain the vehicle 2.Assist the Logistic Coordinator in different logistic tasks DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Driver -To transport NRC staff and cargo. This includes collecting materials from projects and suppliers. -To do day-to-day maintenance of his designated NRC vehicle(s). This includes filling of oil (engine & brakes) and water (battery), adjusting gas pressure as well as ensuring that all required tools in the vehicle are functional and available -To do safe-keeping of tools and documents kept in the vehicle. Any damage or loss must be reported immediately. -To ensure that the vehicles is clean and being representative (interior as well as exterior) at all times. -In case of accident, a written report on any accident is to be submitted to the immediate superior. -The driver shall ensure that non-NRC staff travelling in NRC vehicles. Should sign a disclaimer (waiver) form -The driver shall refill the car each time the tanks is half-full. Logistics -To receive and review any Supplies Requests (SR/RO) generated from the log officer. -To process local purchases following NRC procedures.
