Generic responsibilities (max 10) These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan. Monitor and report on the project activities and ensure compliance with plans and NRC standards Report all protection related concerns Prepare field reports Prepare and file relevant documents as required by line manager Specific responsibilities These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. Support the Education Officer in implementation of educational activities Responsible for: collecting, archiving and up-dating the data    Implement and monitor education and community mobilization activities planned Coordinate with and support the Refugee Outreach Volunteers involved in the project implementation Promote and support the set-up of Parents Committees Carry out regular community mobilization and awareness raising sessions Coordinate participatory assessments Participate in school distribution   Monitor the provision of transportation support in 2nd shift schools and in vocational education Report on a weekly basis to the Education Officer Perform any other task as assigned by NRC  management  Critical interfaces By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are: Refugees focal point Other NRC core competencies 2.      Competencies Competencies are important in order for the employee and the organisation to deliver desired results. Professional competencies These are skills, knowledge and experience that are important for effective performance. Generic professional competencies for this position: Experience from working with education projects in a humanitarian/recovery context Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities Some knowledge of English Context related skills, knowledge and experience (shall be adapted to the specific position): Good communication and inter-personal skills Fluent in English University level degree in education, social studies, or any other relevant field Advanced computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, Power Point and Access Relevant experience in social and community engagement activities (data collection and community consultations) Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and team working skills. Good cultural awareness and sensitivity. Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential. Knowledge of NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector is a plus. Strong documentation, research and report writing skills. Knowledge and relevant experience in child protection issues. Experience in community sensitization/ mobilization. 2. Behavioral competencies (max 6) These are personal qualities that influence how successful people are in their job.
