Job Title: Enumerator

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.
Activities Overview/Summary:
The main purpose of an Enumerator is to support the M&E team in data collection.
Activities:
- The volunteer will be responsible for calling NRC beneficiaries on a daily basis. A certain target needs to be reached.
- He/She will be responsible for filling electronic assessments (using KOBO platform).
- The information needs to be collected with proficiency & recorded with high accuracy.
- He/She will be responsible to follow the M&E standard procedures for data collection.
- He/She need to be debriefing the M&E team on any challenges they face on a daily basis.
Qualifications and Relevant Skills:
- Bachelor degree in social sciences, humanities, quantitative/qualitative research methods, or related field.
- Previous work experience in data collection (in Arabic) as part of a research team – preferably in social work, non-government, and/or outreach organizations.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
