1. Role and responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities
Manage the Country Director’s calendar, including internal and external meetings, field and international travel;
Manage the Country Director’s correspondence, including email inbox, prioritising issues, sharing information and responding to routine requests;
Consult and prepare meeting agendas/workshop programmes and make arrangements for meetings and workshops;
Maintain accurate records of discussions and agreed actions at workshops and meetings, whether internal or external;
Conduct research, compile data, and prepare documents as requested;
Maintain organised and accessible filing systems, virtual and/or physical as appropriate;
Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, Faxing, filing, etc;
Participate in external information meetings on request, and disseminate salient points to the NRC team.
Specific responsibilities
Meet and greet visitors, maintaining contact details of key actors;
Close liaison with the Advocacy and Information Advisor/Communications Officer on public statements by the Country Director, including media contacts;
Ensure confidentiality of all communications (verbal, written and electronic), respecting the sensitivity of certain information;
Observe NRC’s administration, finance, logistics and HR systems.
