Field Coordinator

The Field Coordinator (FC) is expected to represent Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Lebanon in a respectful and professional manner and always act in accordance with NRC Code of Conduct. JOB PURPOSE The FC should be seen as a Counterpart for the Field Manager (FM). It is expected that duties will be performed in cooperation with the Field Manager, with both frequently working collaboratively on same tasks. 1. The FC will manage and facilitate the day to day performance of North Staff in the different core activities pro-jects namely shelter, education and Camp management ISP project. 2. The FC will contribute to the planning of Field office activities. 3. The FC will deputize for the Field Manager when he is not in the office. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -In consultation with the FM resolve any issues in terms of staff performance and communication. -The FC will manage all of the office staff on a day to day basis. -In agreement with FM contribute in issues of contracts, recruitment and procurement. -In coordination with the FM, the FC will develop monthly and weekly timetables for the various projects -In the absence of the FM, the FC will be officer in charge. -Supervise the finance and logistic staff to ensure that daily operations continue effectively and that nec-essary reports are provided to Beirut. -In consultation with the FM finalize weekly and monthly reports. -Contribute to the necessary donor reports including the gathering of required information. -As agreed with the FM represent NRC in public meetings. -Support and participate in any donor visits and other delegations. -Cooperate with other NRC offices in Lebanon as required. -Represent NRC in coordination mechanisms with UN, other NGOs and local partners, and ensure that NRC is working effectively as part of cluster mechanisms, collaborating where possible. -Ensure and promote efficient and cost-effective use of NRC’s assets and resources in order to maximize funding to beneficiaries -Carry out any other duties as requested by management Qualifications •Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English, including reporting skills •At least 4 years of relevant experience in project management •Proven experience in managing office and field staff •Excellent diplomatic and negotiating skills •Proven experience of facilitation of meetings •Proven experience of conducting needs assessments •Logistics experience •Humanitarian background •Familiar with office applications (Word – Excel – Power Point).
