- Role and responsibilities
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing assistance in day-to-day implementation of the Human Resources processes. The position holder will be assisting in implementing and following up on various matters related to recruitment, performance management, attendance and leave days, personnel filing, and entry and exit procedures. The duties will also encompass proper implementation and follow up on NRC Terms of Employment, and coordination with country office HR staff on related issues.
Generic responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies and the local Labor Law in all procedures and processes.
- Assist staff in the implementation of related policies, procedures, and standard NRC practices.
- Update staff records and files on a regular basis
- Generate monthly records and reports
- Provide support in recruitment processes
- Assist in facilitating HR related trainings and sessions as needed
- Ensure that NRC’s related activities are implemented within NRC’s Protection mainstreaming guidelines and reports any breaches/concerns to the line manager and/or focal point for proper action
Specific responsibilities
- Ensure continuous filing of all related forms, templates, documents, and legal papers in their respective files for easy retrieval whenever needed.
- Prepare Induction schedules for new joiners and provide HR induction for new joiners.
- Assist field staff on HR related inquiries
- Follow up on staff attendance records and generate reports on weekly and monthly basis.
- Liaise with staff and main office on Insurance and National Social Security fund registrations, claims and documentations.
- Assist with monthly tracking for Performance Management implementation at field level.
- Carry out recruitment activities including requesting positions, shortlisting qualified candidates, conducting interviews and reference checks and requesting job offers for relevant levels.
- Perform any other HR related task requested by the Human Resources Officer and Support Manager.
