Logistics Intern

NRC, the Norwegian Refugee Council is an independent, humanitarian, non-profit organization working with Refugees and internally displaced People worldwide. NRC Lebanon is opening its doors for an internship opportunity within the Logistics department in Beirut. The NRC Logistics Intern is expected to work in accordance with the organization’s core values: dedication, innovation, inclusivity and accountability. These attitudes and believes shall guide our actions and relationships.    1.      Role and responsibilities Comply with NRC’s Logistics policies and procedures Check staff asset transfers, correct where necessary and issue missing ones. Responsible for the hard and soft copy filing. Ensure that full auditable support documentation is in place. Assist in creating a system for the all the finished logistics carbonated books and archive them properly. Proper archive for logbooks and fleet related documents. Re-arrange warehouse documents and archive properly Produce reports as requested and needed Fulfill any other related tasks that may be assigned by the Logistics Manager Receive goods and prepare the needed documents.   2.      Competencies Competencies are important in order for the employee and the organisation to deliver desired results. They are relevant for all staff and are divided into the following two categories: 1. Professional competencies These are skills, knowledge and experience that are important for effective performance. Good command of English Educational Background or Experience in logistics field Strong organization and communication skills Ability to work independently or fit well within a team Proficient in MS Office or other software 2.
