Shelter and settlement Officer - Cash for Rent

Responsibilities: 

The S&S Officer - Cash for rent will be responsible for the implementation of the Cash for Rent modality in line with the NRC Shelter Response Strategy, and will also act as the Referral Focal Point for the Shelter programme within the response.

The position holder will be responsible for receiving and verifying daily referrals on families living in insecure and uninhabitable conditions and are in need to relocate to safe shelters on temporary basis, from the Outreach Team.

Accordingly, he/she will contact families and inform them about the procedures of the Cash for Rent programme, and will support families where necessary in the identification of alternative shelters.

The position holder will follow up on the administrative works related to the cash payments, including raising PRs on Agresso and administer the Libanpost payment lists accordingly, in accordance with NRC compliance requirements.

He/She will follow up with beneficiary households ensuring that potential disputes or challenges faced are reported to the Shelter and ICLA teams as needed. 
As a referral FP for the Shelter response, receiving referrals on S&S and WASH from the referral assistants, and ensure follow up from the Shelter programme as required, and will report all protection related concerns to Protection Advisor.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a shelter and protection social work
• Experience from working in a humanitarian/recovery context
• Good understanding of protection principles, referral systems, humanitarian services and stakeholders
• Good networking and connection building skills
• Fluent Arabic and English, both written and spoken
• Good level of computer literacy
