1. Role and responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities
Adequately communicate and share information about NRC and our programmes
Suggest new methods and approaches in order to improve the quality of the activities
Carry out data collection as required for the Shelter-WASH programme as well as to assist the work of other CCs (ICLA, Education and CCB)
Prepare and file relevant documents according to procedures
Assist in emergency assessments (i.e. due to mass evictions or harsh weather)
Assist in distributions as needed
Specific responsibilities
Respond to social and technical self-referrals received via shelter helpline or through visits to NRC office and conduct social assessments.
With the support of the SFO, create and maintain adequate databases to track, follow-up and monitor calls received via helpline.
Explain the NRC assessment and selection process well to beneficiaries who do not fall within the project criteria
Represent NRC using excellent communication skills with beneficiaries and communities.
Organize visit list based on compiled revised and cleaned data and share with SFOs and TFOs on weekly basis; sharing urgent cases on a daily basis.
Report data collected over the helpline on a weekly basis; Prepare analytical monthly situation report highlighting main concerns, trends and areas found most in need of intervention.
Establish relationship with beneficiaries, share and follow up on received cases with concerned shelter staff
Report all protection related concerns - follow internal and external referral pathways
Liaise with landlords/landladies and local authorities inquiring on NRC activities
Support the process of the explanation and signature of Shelter Cooperation Agreement as requested
Participate in the resolution of conflicts with focus on eviction prevention

By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are:

Social Field Officers and Assistants, Technical Field Officers and Assistants, ICLA Field Officers

• Experience from working in the North of Lebanon (Akkar ,Wadi Khaled, Dennieh, Minieh specifically and preferably)
Experience in properly managing confidential information
Knowledge of services provided by other agencies
Ideally, case-management experience
