1. Role and responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities
Monitor and report on the project activities and ensure compliance with plans and NRC standards
Adequately communicate and share information about NRC and our programmes
Liaise with community leaders for the official support of the shelter programme
Suggest new methods and approaches in order to improve the quality of the activities
Carry out data collection as required for the Shelter programme as well as to assist the work of other CCs (ICLA, WASH, Education and CCB)
Prepare and file relevant documents according to procedures
Assist in emergency assessments (i.e. due to mass evictions or harsh weather)
Assist in distributions as needed
Specific responsibilities
Conduct social assessments, establish relationship with beneficiaries and follow up with designated cases
Report all protection related concerns - follow internal and external path for in and out referrals
Liaise with landlords/landladies and local authorities to obtain their support
Support the process of payments and signing of contracts as needed
Participate in the resolution of conflicts with focus on eviction prevention
Critical interfaces
By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are:

Shelter Field Officers and Shelter Field Assistants, Field Technical Officers and Technical Assistants
Team Leader, Coordinator, Database Assistant and Project Manager
Local authorities (e.g. Muhktars)

• Experience from working with shelter projects in a humanitarian/recovery context
• Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
• Some knowledge of English
Experience with data collection using tablets and in paper form
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
• Experience from working in the North of Lebanon (Akkar and Wadi Khali in specific preferable)
Experience in properly managing confidential information
Ideally, case-management experience
