Social Field Assistant (3)

These attitudes and believes shall guide our actions and relationships.  1.      Role and responsibilities The Social Field Assistant is responsible for implementing Shelter project activities within the Bekaa area. General Responsibilities Implement the Social activities according to strategy, proposals and plans Adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements Involve and inform communities and community leaders about the activities Provide data for periodic progress reports and other documents as required; and participate in preparing when needed coordinate with local NGOs Communicate with beneficiaries regarding project relevant information Ensure all appropriate project documentation is completed as NRC SSU guidelines and donors’ requirements Specific responsibilities Collect and report information regarding the overall situation of the family in the community with specific attention paid to those targeted by the project To explain the project aims and objectives to the beneficiaries through daily contact and the organization of regular meetings and focus group discussions Explain to beneficiaries the NRC selection criteria To arrange meetings with the beneficiaries and where necessary discuss issues. To identify potential properties aligned with NRC criteria To identify potential beneficiaries aligned with NRC criteria To identify referral cases and communicate with line manager on necessary protection measures Critical interfaces Shelter: coordinate in close collaboration with Shelter technical and WASH teams in relation to shelter activities in Small Shelter Units. ICLA: ensuring the team is ready to deal with referral cases and follow up communication Coordinate with Local Authorizes Coordinate with Shelter Partners in the area 2.      Competencies Professional competencies Academic Qualifications: Bachelor degree relevant to field of work Generic professional competencies for this position: 1-2 years of Experience from working within Projects in a humanitarian/recovery context Ability to see project in the bigger holistic approach of NRC Knowledge of MS Office (words and excel) Proficient in English, both written and verbal Context related skills, knowledge and experience (shall be adapted to the specific position): Knowledge of the context of Refugees informal settlements and/or urban settlements Experience with start-up of projects Strong capacity building knowledge 2.
