Ssu Information Field Officer (2 Positions)

Generic responsibilities Coordinate ICLA activities according to strategy, proposals, budgets and plans. Ensure adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements. Involve and inform communities and community leaders about the activities Break down the annual operational plans into weekly, monthly and quarterly implementation plans. Coordinate with relevant partners. Supervise, train and develop team. Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents as required   Specific responsibilities Organise daily work of ICLA SSU team focusing on provision of information and legal services to NRC shelter beneficiaries. Organise work of Information Field Assistants, focusing on the following areas: Ensuring proper follow up for NRC shelter beneficiaries; Ensuring provision on ICLA services for NRC shelter beneficiaries; Conducing outcome monitoring based on agreed schedule and work-plan; Following up on protection cases among NRC shelter beneficiaries. Prepare the relevant mapping (including written format) of relevant services being provided by other actors where NRC operates. Conduct individual and group information sessions to NRC shelter beneficiaries, and other beneficiaries as relevant. Prepare weekly and monthly schedule for household visits in the designated area where NRC functions. Assist in the sensitization of the Syrian and Palestinian Refugees from Syria and host communities on the existing ICLA activities. Prepare information documents for target communities. Receive technical input from ICLA National team, Legal Field Officers and Assessment Officers. Work cooperatively with the beneficiaries and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen the project. Constantly monitor and follow-up on the quality of services provided during the outreach activities. Have a clear idea about activities other institutions working in the same area are carrying out with displaced Syrians and Palestinian Refugees from Syria, as agreed with Supervisor, attend coordination and protection meetings. Assist in contributing to the development of referral mechanisms in collaboration with other NGOs, ICLA team and NRC Managers. Attend and participate in relevant meetings, in coordination with relevant NRC staff. Assist in designing the needed forms, questionnaires and other templates. Maintain archiving system up to date (both in hardcopies and electronically) and pay special attention to the filing of legal cases. Work closely with ICLA lawyers and do the required follow up and identification of cases requiring counseling and/or legal representation. Report weekly & monthly (or more often, if required) on activities and results to the relevant NRC staff. Carry out administrative tasks as agreed upon. Perform any other task as assigned by NRC management.   Critical interfaces By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are: ICLA National Team ICLA Field Teams NRC Core Competencies CCB, Shelter, WASH and Education NRC Shelter Social and Technical Teams   1.      Competencies   Generic professional competencies for this position: University education in Political Science; International Relations; Law; Legal Services or other Social Sciences Previous experience in providing information and counseling services Previous experience in community sensitization/mobilization Previous experience in conflict resolution is highly desirable Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal   Context related skills, knowledge and experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience Experience of working with IDPs/Refugees in a humanitarian/recovery context is an advantage   3.
