Mouneh Trainer

As part of Nusaned Activities during the crisis, Nusaned is seeking for Trainer who can provide Training session in MOUNEH.

Professional Empowerment Project – Nusaned & Expertise France

1.Background

- This activity is part of the joint initiative between Nusaned and Expertise France.

- The project focuses on providing vocational empowerment to vulnerable individuals in areas such as Al-Bireh, Halba, and Kherbet Daoud, where unemployment and limited access to skills are major issues.

- Mouneh production was selected to empower women and promote local food processing capacity.

- Stakeholders include local trainers, municipalities, persons with disability, and women’s groups.

 

2.Objectives

- Empower 40 women through hands-on training in food processing (mouneh).

- Enhance food preservation skills and knowledge on hygiene, labeling, and producing.

- Support women’s economic inclusion and income generation.

- Strengthen household food security and community resilience.

 

3.Issues

 

  • Variations in educational backgrounds may impact learning outcomes.
  • Cultural barriers may affect participation rates among women.

 

4.Methodology

    •  - The mouneh training will be implemented in two phases:
    • Phase 1: 20 women for 1 month
    • Phase 2: 20 women for 1 month

 

 

 

  • Training will be conducted 5 days/week, led by an experienced trainer and overseen by a dedicated supervisor.
  • Sessions will be practical and hands-on, with attention to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Monitoring tools, attendance sheets, and weekly schedules will be used.
  • A gender-sensitive approach and inclusion for person with disability will guide implementation to encourage participation and engagement.

 

5.Expertise

- Trainers must have proven experience in mouneh production and community food processing and dealing and learning persons with disability previously.

- Ability to conduct participatory training and ensure hygienic practices.

- Trainers and supervisors are expected to coordinate closely with project staff to ensure smooth delivery and documentation within our timeframe and to be strict on time with minimal absences.

 

6.Reporting

    • The supervisor must submit a weekly report to the project coordinators covering:oThe progress of participants
    • The type of mouneh products prepared each week
    • Any challenges encountered or recommendations for improvement

 

    •  - Daily attendance must be recorded by the supervisor using the approved attendance sheet.
    •  - Trainers must document session content and participant engagement.
    •  - A summary report should be submitted at the end of each training phase.
    •  - All reporting must follow standardized templates provided by Nusaned.

 

7.Work Plan

- Training Period: 2 months (in two phases)

- Location: Designated training kitchens in Halba (Nusaned Kitchen)

    • Staff: Trainer: 5 days/week, 4 hours/day
    •  - Supervisor: 5 days/week, 5 hours/day
