Detailed Job Description
- Collaborate with field officers and volunteers to gather stories, photos, and videos for content creation.
- Design and produce engaging social media content, including reels, videos, graphics, and posts that tell the stories of our work.
- Develop and implement a social media content calendar and strategy across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Research and stay up to date on social media trends, tools, and strategies to optimize performance.
- Engage with influencers, partners, and community members to broaden reach and foster relationships.
- Monitor and respond to audience comments, messages, and inquiries on all social media platforms in a timely manner.
- Analyze social media performance metrics, report progress, and recommend strategies to increase engagement, followers, and reach.
- Boost content and manage ad campaigns to increase visibility and audience growth.
- Ensure that all content aligns with the organization’s values and objectives.
- Work closely with the Communication Manager to align social media efforts with the broader communication strategy.
- Perform any additional tasks, when requested by the Communication Manager.
- Support PR activities, including building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and covering events to enhance the organization’s visibility and public presence.

Collaborates and Works with: PDQ Manager, Department Heads, P&C, Project Managers, MEAL, AAP & Safeguarding, field officers, and volunteers
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in social media marketing, digital marketing, or video production are a plus.
- Experience working in NGOs or the non-profit sector is a plus.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, content creation, and storytelling.
- Proficiency in design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing tools.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Officer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and analytics tools.
- Hands-on experience in video production, editing, and design for social media content.
- Familiarity with social media trends, algorithms, and best practices for increasing engagement and reach.
- Experience in influencer outreach and collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teams in the field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environments
