Project Name: Challenging Stereotypes, Providing Services, Convening, and Advocating: A multi-layer approach to promote LGBTQ rights in Lebanon

Subject: Creation of design /illustration work and infographs for two policy brief documents on LGBTQI rights.

 

Background

As part of an EU-funded project entitled “Challenging Stereotypes, Providing Services, Convening and Advocating: A Multi-Layered Approach to Promoting LGBTQ Rights in Lebanon”, during 2021, Oxfam produced a descriptive research on issues of LGBTQI rights and is currently in the process of producing two policy briefs that unpack issues of Housing and Mental Health affecting the Queer community in Lebanon.

Purpose:

The organization is seeking to recruit an animator/illustrator to complete the piece of work trough (I) doing design work to two policy brief documents and (II) producing two videos encompassing infographs and audiovisual testimonials showcasing the results and recommendations of the policy briefs.

Expected deliverables:

This activity is expected to culminate in two major deliverables:

1. Design and layout development for two policy brief documents;
2. Two short videos that include infographs and testimonials showcasing the main findings and recommendations incorporated as part of the policy briefs.

Consultants’ Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a series of two informative animated videos (60 to 90 seconds) in line with findings and recommendations from both policy briefs and Oxfam’s and EU’s visibility and branding requirements.
• Develop the design, layout, and infographics for two policy document (4-7 pages each) in line with Oxfam’s and EU’s branding requirements.
• Develop a comprehensive action plan and timeline for production.
• Tailor key messages to be communicated in the Video/Infographics.
• Provide 2 rough cuts and 1 final edit for each product;
• Coordinate two rounds of review process with Oxfam’s team.

 

Qualifications:

• Availability to start immediately
• Motion graphics, assets creation and animation skills
• Infographic design and layout design
• Experience in ideation and content creation for social media campaigns and advocacy work
• Familiarity with the context of the LGBTQ community in Lebanon
• Working languages: English and Arabic
• Excellent coordination and communication skills, flexible attitude and respect for deadlines

 

Timeframe:

The consultant is expected to start immediately and deliver all products by March 3rd, 2022.
