Specific Considerations

- BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT
Oxfam is a global movement of people, working together to end the injustice of poverty. Oxfam has been working in Lebanon since 1993. We provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people affected by conflict, and we promote economic justice and good governance, and women’s rights. Oxfam also works with local partners to contribute to the protection and empowerment of marginalized women and men.
Oxfam is supporting the Syrian refugees in the rehabilitation two wastewater treatment units (WWTU)in the informal settlements. Therefore, Oxfam is seeking a supplier/contractor to supply and install components for the rehabilitation of the wastewater treatment units in Bouday North Bekaa.
- SPECIFICATION OF GOODS AND SERVICES REQUIRED

Description
Bouday 008 WWTU
Replacement Submersible Pump
Supply and install an Italian 1/2 horsepower submersible sewage pump with an electrical float in the manhole for pumping water to the trickling filter tank.
Desludging
Dislodge the excess black water flooded over the available tanks into the pits
Site Cleaning
Remove and clean all the grasses and waste inside the WWTU location and dispose of it at an approved dump site.
Steel Lock
Replacement of steel locks, the work includes removing the old locks and supplying and installing new ones
System Inspection
Inspect and commission the solar system, the work includes inspecting the system’s inverter, four PV panels, batteries, control panel … etc. and writing a clear report on the findings
Bouday 036 WWTU
Fence Door
Installation of existing Fence door, including welding and installation of new hinges
Steel Lock
Replacement of steel locks, the work includes removing the old locks and supplying and installing new ones
Desludging

Solar Panel
Replacement of existing solar panel, the work includes removing the old one, supply and install new 550W solar panel
Inverter
Replacement of solar inverter, the work includes removing the old one, supply and installation new inverter 3.5 KW
Battery
Supply and install a battery lead acid type (storage capacity 200 Ah, 12 V), and all needed accessories (35 mm2 DC cable, fixing connections)
Fence Maintenance
Supply and install steel wire 3mm to adapt the existing wire mesh
Replacement of hinges
Replacement of hinges, the work includes removing the existing hinges, supplying and installing new hinges 21 mm
Pipe Connection
Fix the available 2inch pipe connected to the plastic water tank
System Inspection
Inspect and commission the solar system, the work includes inspecting the system’s inverter, four PV panels, batteries, control panel … etc. and writing a clear report on the findings
Item quantities are subject to change, and some items may be removed
Mandatory Site Visit: Supplier who will not attend the site visit, they will not be able to submit their offers
All interest suppliers are invited to the mandatory site visit, and they need to send interested email

5. EXPERIENCE OR PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
The company/ individual(s) should have the following competencies:

- Experience with Oxfam / NGOs / working in development/ humanitarian settings (Similar experience. Please attach a table including company name, work description.)
- Proficiency in the relevant market of this request (Reference of two or more clients within similar scope we need (Preferable with NGOs) (NGO Name or private client name, contact person and email, project description, locations, value of money).
