Description
BADAEL is a project funded by MADAD/EU and carried out by
Oxfam, UTOPIA, Association Najdeh and Beyond Reform and Development. BADAEL
aims at supporting entrepreneurial initiatives with a social impact to better
the socio-economic situation in 5 different areas in Lebanon: Tripoli
(including Bared and Beddawi camps), el Minieh, Koura, Saadnayel and
Joubjanine. BADAEL activities are open for Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese.
The project aims to:

Engage local community
members in identifying priorities for the local socio-economic development of
their communities by recognizing local needs and opportunities in their areas.

Train more than 9000
individuals, especially youth and women, on leadership and social
entrepreneurship skills.

Launch a competition and
then provide financial and technical support to 30 to 40 entrepreneurial
initiatives addressing challenges in the communities
-
Network and campaign to
advance Social Entrepreneurship as a way to support socio-economic development
led by members of the communities.
Since one of the fundamental purposes of the project is to effectively
spread the notion of social entrepreneurship, the activities have been divided
into three levels: individual, public sector, and private sector.
On the individual level, the project targets thousands of
individuals who will receive training on the basics of social entrepreneurship
and how it generates income while also promoting social cohesion and active
citizenship. On this level, various kinds of outreach activities are required, including
but not limited to community events, community meetings, as well as synergies
with local NGOs, educational institutions, public and private institutions.
These activities will ensure that the targeted number of participants are
recruited.
The project aims also to disseminate research findings and
create venues for discussion and feedback in the communities. This will be done
through dialogue sessions and townhall meetings.
Job Description
Starting from September 2018, the project will be running
several activities and events within the targeted communities to raise
awareness on social entrepreneurship; train interested individuals and groups
on preparing business plans; consult the local communities on the objectives
and findings of the project; and launch the competition on social enterprises.
The selected photographer will:

Attend on-going community
trainings in Bekaa and North Lebanon in coordination with Oxfam Project
Managers and take pictures, film short videos and conduct standard interviews
with participants (2 days in Bekaa and 3 days in North Lebanon)

Attend community
consultation events in Bekaa and North Lebanon in coordination with Oxfam
Project Managers and take pictures, film short videos and conduct standard
interviews with participants (1 day in Bekaa and 2 days in North Lebanon)
·
Attend social
entrepreneurship boot camps in Bekaa and North Lebanon in coordination with
Oxfam Project Managers and take pictures, film short videos and conduct
standard interviews with participants (1 day in Bekaa and 2 days in North
Lebanon)
·
Attend events dedicated to
announcing and advertising the social enterprise competition in Bekaa and North
Lebanon in coordination with Oxfam Project Managers and take pictures, film
short videos and conduct standard interviews with participants (2 days in Bekaa
and 3 days in North Lebanon)

Store and deliver proper
still images and short (3-5 minutes) videos of the attended events on Oxfam
platform and on memory sticks
·
Design and prepare 5 videos
in total, each of 2-3 minutes: two short videos (2-3 minutes) of the community
trainings; 1 short video (2 minutes) of the boot camps; 2 short videos of the
community consultation events (3-4 minutes); and 1 short video (2-3 minutes) of
the competition launching events (the consultant must consider two rounds of comments
for each video).
Qualifications

events and editing videos and taking high quality pictures

The transportation to and from the events’ venues are the
responsibility of the consultant. Whenever there are Oxfam staff traveling to
the same areas and within the same timeframes transportation might be offered.
