Consultancy/ Designing Iec Materials

The protection team works to improve the safety of the civilians, in Lebanon we work mainly in Bekka and North (T+5) with Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese communities. The main objective of the consultancy is to design new methods on how to present and pass on the information needed in the communities through design of effective IEC “Information, education and communication” materials. This approach is aiming at empowering the refugees by providing them with information on protection related topics  by providing  information about the services and the service providers in different locations in west and north Bekaa through training which will be followed by distribution of Manual to compile all information regarding the services and tips in helpful one-pagers and posters.   Key Deliverable The Consultant Designer will be asked to produce the following:  IEC materials A0-A3; 4 sets of formats (Legal , General information , Health and Renewal of visas) All information will be provided by the protection team  2. Illustrations to help explaining the services during the information sessions 6 sets of formats Visa renewal process Birth Registration process Marriage registration How to change phone number How to renew registration with UNHCR SSN/ targeted assistance   3.  Training material Manuals 6 pages each, full coloured A6, double pages, will be printed on 200g paper Information to be provided by the protection team   4. Handouts /One pagers fully coloured, double pages, to be printed on 250g -  4 sets of formats (Legal , General information , Health and Renewal of visas) All information will be provided by protection team *1 Consultation session to be conducted with the refugees’ onsite to discuss the drafts All documents are in Arabic Required skills and competencies  (firms/team members/individuals)   -         Proven experience in designing communications materials to a very high standard -         Experience in editing content for publication -         Good creative sense and judgement -         Usage of simple Arabic language and clear pictures -         Develops innovative design concepts and approaches on IEC material development -          Ability to reflect their experience on the Informal tented settlements -          Ability to work in close coordination with other team members. -          Experience in visual designing -          A relevant qualification in graphic design and communications.    Desirable skills:   -       Previous experience with Oxfam or other NGOs /INGOs. -       Previous experience in such projects   Reporting lines /coordination The reporting and coordination will be directly to/with Protection officer.   Timeframe: -          Expected Starting Date: 8- May- 2015 -          10 working day including consultation sessions with Refugees
