Field Monitor Volunteer (Bekaa)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Oxfam’s MEAL  Team (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) to ensure quality data collection from the field; Conduct daily field visits to monitor activities using different qualitative and quantitative data collection tools including but not limited to: on-site monitoring, observations, post-distribution monitoring, focus group discussions, exit interviews, surveys, and key informant interviews; Work closely with different sector teams and partner staff in the field; Document beneficiary complaints and follow up on their resolution; Report on field activities on daily basis; Carry out data entry exercises as appropriate. SKILLS AND COMPETENCE: Experience with fieldwork, monitoring activities, and reporting is essential; Experience in data collection and data entry is essential; familiarity with data analysis is favourable; Familiarity with WaSH and Protection activities is an advantage; Excellent knowledge of and practical experience with MS Office, especially with Excel (Excel 2003, 2007 or 2010); Good command of English and Arabic (reading, writing and speaking). Solid speaking and writing skills in both languages are a must; Experience working with refugees or disadvantaged people is preferable; Strong commitment to gender equality and social justice, as well as Oxfam’s mission; Excellent ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, and excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work under pressure, ability to prioritize and commitment to meet deadlines; Potential and flexibility of attitude towards learning.
