Intern: Translator

Under the project, "My work, My Rights", Oxfam is looking for a part time intern to assist the team with translation of network documents.

Responsibilities
The translation intern will:

  • Translate network documents (English to Arabic and Arabic to English)
  • Draft correspondence in Arabic 
  • Proofread and edit translated texts
  • Plan, organize and independently carry out workload priorities to ensure smooth and timely coordination and production
  • Attend meetings and events, reporting back to the team

Qualifications and Skills

  • Fluency in Arabic and English
  • Current student or graduate with a BA in translation or literature or any other relevant field
  • Ability to work quickly with others or individually to meet deadlines
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Prior experience with NGOs is a plus
