Terms of Reference Photographer/ Filmmaker – Oxfam Lebanon   Background To work with others to find lasting solutions to poverty and suffering Oxfam has been working in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for over five decades and over the past four decades it has been promoting gender equality and supporting women’s right to participate and be represented in governance and decision-making structures and processes. Oxfam has been working in Lebanon since 2006. Oxfam has a regional Gender Justice Hub that administers a regional gender justice program and a Lebanon program working on Water and Sanitation activities, Protection and Emergency Food and Sustainable Livelihoods programs. Oxfam works with local Lebanese non-governmental organisations and local municipalities. Since 2013, Oxfam has been working with partners to support both Syrian and Palestinian refugees who have fled the conflict, as well Lebanese host communities.   Purpose To produce high-end photos and film for use in Oxfam’s media and communications products in Lebanon across all Oxfam programs Through the above, supporting Oxfam in Lebanon to secure high impact media coverage for the refugee crisis   Objectives Work with Oxfam’s media officers to document Oxfam’s work in Lebanon as required Generate high-quality print and multi-media material (images/video/) for use with the national and international media and on Oxfam’s channels Edit footage to produce high end films and VNR as required   Experience required Essential skills 5+ years working as a professional photographer in a similar context (NGO or Freelance) Proven experience in film production (filming/ editing/ directing/ capturing audio) Arabic is an asset Ability to travel within Lebanon   Desirable Basic proficiency in English and/ or French Knowledge and understanding of the refugee crisis in Lebanon N.B. The post holder will be required to own suitable equipment to carry out assignments
