1. BackgroundOxfam Great Britain (Oxfam GB) is a development, humanitarian and campaigningorganization that works with others to find lasting solutions to poverty and sufferingaround the world.Over 25 years, Oxfam GB has been working in many countries in the Arab regionwith the aim of promoting gender equality and reducing poverty and sufferings ofpeople affected by humanitarian crisis.AMAL is a three-year multi-country, multi-affiliate programme, which aims to promoteactive participation and leadership of women in the MENA region, including thepoorest and most marginalised women, in local, national and regional governancestructures and decision-making processes.2. Purpose & DeliverablesThe purpose of the assignment is to translate/edit from English into Arabic and viceversa and from English into French and vice versa, documents provided by Oxfam tothe consultant throughout the duration of the contract. The documents will beprovided as need arises on an ad hoc basis.Payment for each report provided to the consultant will be done upon review andapproval of each translated document.3. DurationThe provision of the services is to commence on 01- 05- 2014 and end on01 - 11- 2014, unless the Agreement is terminated early in accordance with the termsof this Agreement.4. ProcessFor each document, the consultant & Oxfam should agree on a timeframe forcompletion of each document. The total cost should be based on the agreed ratemultiplied by the numbers of words.
