Freelance Digital Content Creator / Editor

Main functions

  • Create a friendly user professionally designed, attractive and easy to navigate website for ADR with a focus on promoting the association’s mission, activities and products.
  • Publish the existing content provided by ADR staff 
  • Create effective and engaging content that drives action 
  • Review ADR social media platforms, give feedback and advise on ways to improve.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop digital content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term communications objectives
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to plan and develop digital content, style and layout
  • Liaise with content writers (coming from ADR different departments)  to ensure brand consistency
  • Train relevant staff on web content management and optimization according to SEO
  • Use and train relevant staff on content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics
  • Collaborate with General Manager and Project Manager to manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms in order to increase web traffic
  • Develop and train content team on how to develop an editorial calendar 
  • Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection).

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least five years’ experience working as a digital content manager/editor.
  • Experience of using HTML and web content management systems to update online content
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word.
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Familiarity with social media
  • Expertise in content optimization and brand consistency is a plus
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications or relevant field.
