Job Overview

The M&E officer will be responsible of tracking, aggregating and developing reports on project achievements; maintaining organized and updated project filing as well as overviewing M&E software used by the project for reporting and quickly responding to Ad-hoc M&E requests for information on project progress.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • The M&E Officer will support the M&E Lead in all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency.
  • S/he will be responsible of conducting field visits to LIFE partners implementing activities in all area of operations (South, North and Beqaa).
  • Update the IM activity tracker on quarterly basis and submit it to Social Impact.
  • Closely coordinating with grants team to review hard copy files and supporting documents for data reported by partners.
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity building to M&E focal persons at LIFE partners on data collection, cleansing and reporting for maximum accuracy and efficiency.
  • Put in place follow up system with partners for data verification and spot-check monitoring visits.
  • Monitoring of in-kind grants distribution process; archiving whole process through.
  • Quickly and efficiently respond to any Ad-hoc requests on LIFE progress data by donor.
  • Help in the design of future assessments, FGD questionnaires, surveys, impact evaluations.
  • Other tasks as needed.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Statistics, International Development, political science or other related fields.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity with humanitarian and/or development organizations.
• Thorough understanding of project cycle and M&E project cycle
• IT conversant, with emphasis on Microsoft office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Access...)
• Excellent in written and oral English and Arabic.
• Must be a Lebanese national or eligible to work and reside in Lebanon without sponsorship.
• M&E training courses and certifications is a plus.
• USAID projects experience is a plus.
