Financial Management Trainer and Mentor

About the job 

Peace of Art is looking for an experienced trainer to provide individual coaching and training on financial management and using QuickBooks application for the finance team at Peace of Art, Lebanon (Ain, Baalbeck-Hermel) over 4 sessions (4 full days) and includes follow-up and answering inquiries from the team outside the sessions online. The trainer will have to develop and conduct coaching sessions with the team to train them on financial management and support them in developing financial management plans and practices.

The training will be implemented in Peace of Art’s office in Ain, Baalbeck-Hermel, and in person (Including online sessions too).

Under the direct supervision of Peace of Art’s manager, the trainer will be responsible for developing the team’s financial practices, mentoring and following up through the practical application, and training on the following:

• Using the QuickBooks application for recording and tracking multiple project expenses and financial operations. (As highest priority)

• Conducting a technical needs assessment on financial management.

• Develop a tailored learning plan based on the assessment of organizing project financial processes. 

• Developing and improving financial records and processes.

• Developing new financial templates and improving existing ones.

• Developing and improving the procurement and inventory management processes.

• Building the team’s skills in running the bidding process, and preparing all required documents (Quotation forms, ToRs...) from beginning to end.

• Making sure all documents comply with auditing requirements and improving the financial policies and procedures.

The topics to be covered during the coaching session are, but are not limited to: 

• Cash flow management; 

• Expenses plan and budgeting; 

• Basic analytical accounting; 

• Audit requirements, and sound financial procedures.

The trainer will be expected to provide by email the following deliverables as part of the application: 

• A brief inception report (1 to 6 pages) identifying the methodology and the training program.

• Plan for delivery of the 4 sessions.

About you 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Master’s Degree in Finance, CPA/CFA or any related fields, strong management and financial management background. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Requirements  

• Previous experience in conducting financial training.

• Previous experience in designing and implementing financial management plans.

• Previous experience with NGO work and with managing projects financially.

• Extensive experience with using QuickBooks software for financial management.

• Previous experience with writing financial policies and procedures.
