A- Project Description: Supporting School Parliaments in UNRWA schools project will be focusing on the concepts of Peace Education, Conflict Resolution and Human Rights through arts, educational, recreational activities and interactive methods. Building bright and enlightened minds as well as engaging in civic activities will lead to more civilized communities and societies and anticipate in better future. Children and youth will be taught values and practices of tolerance, conflict resolution, citizenship and human rights. Training sessions and all the educational intervention will be based on three main themes; Personal development, Social integration and Civic Participation. And it will strengthen capacity of School Parliaments within UNRWA Schools to increase ownership from within student-body, improve decision-making and student participation in school governance and into their communities as well as strengthening Palestinian identity. The project adopts the child- rights based approach in all its intervention.   Scope/ Objectives: To build up capacity of school parliaments to be able to carry out in- and out-of-school activities that promote healthy school environment and positively impact the relationship with the community. To activate the role of in- and out-of-school youth focusing on leadership, communication, conflict resolution, researches, awareness sessions, and other activities that would contribute to youth development and protection in addition to improving community services. To develop a culturally and socially specific model for intervention in schools to promote citizenship (conflict transformation, dialogue, tolerance and Human Rights) and thus promote youth empowerment and citizenship and strengthen their knowledge and commitment towards their community. B- Job Description:  The Field Worker and Trainer will be responsible to conduct in 4 schools the following tasks: To give capacity building training sessions in each school related to conflict resolution, peacebuilding, dialogue, community integration and volunteerism… in parallel with the HRCRT toolkit themes. To follow up on in and out-of-schools activities. To coordinate with the working personnel in schools. To coordinate between the schools in the region for social activities. To report on monthly and quarterly basis.
