The Permanent Peace Movement (PPM) is currently implementing a project on women-led mediation in five Palestinian Refugee Camps in partnership with UN Women. The project aims to increase ability of the Women and men in Palestinian Refugee camps in Lebanon to take peace and humanitarian actions that provide relief and that ensure non-recurrence of violence in their communities.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the overall supervision of the PPM Representative and in close collaboration with UN Women the finance and logistics officer will be responsible on the following tasks:
- Matching the financial documents with the project implementation activities.
- Documenting the financial disbursements, financial transactions and preparing financial reports in compliance with the project signed contract.
- Preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Carrying out all financial transactions and accounting procedures including payment and receipt vouchers.
- Following up on bank transactions.
- Monitoring and following up the financial progress of the project in relation to the budget and real expenditures.
Essential requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related to administration, finance, accounting or other relevant fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with NGOs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate.
- Excellent oral and written communication in Arabic and English
- Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain flexibility and professional approach.
