Safeguarding Consultant to develop a comprehensive Safeguarding Policy

Objectives:

The main objective of this consultancy is to draft a robust Safeguarding Policy tailored to the organization's context, in line with international best practices and standards. The policy should address various forms of abuse, exploitation, harassment, and discrimination, and establish clear guidelines and procedures for prevention, reporting, and response.

Scope of Work:

The Safeguarding Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the organization's existing safeguarding practices, and procedures, including relevant documentation and guidelines.

• Produce a finalized Safeguarding Policy document, ready for implementation, with clear roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines clearly outlined.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The Safeguarding Consultant should possess the following:

• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding principles, policies, and best practices within the humanitarian sector.

• Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable.
