Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is a non-profit, non-political and non religious humanitarian NGO. Its objective is to bring about a global response to the basic needs of populations suffering from acute humanitarian crisis and to allow them to recover their autonomy and dignity.   Today, PU-AMI is intervening in 22 countries in Africa, the Near East, Caucasus, Asia and the Caribbean to cover the needs of populations affected by conflict, natural disasters or economic crises.   PU-AMI has been active in Lebanon by implementing emergency and recovery projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Shelter Rehabilitation, Food Security  and in Livelihood Recovery sectors.   OVERALL MISSION   General objective The Logistician has to ensure and coordinate all the logistics activities of PU-AMI base and programs in the base. Responsibilities and tasks   Ø Supply chain and procurement -      To supply items/materials according to some base’s orders (mission & program) -      To use PU-AMI supply chain and procurement’s procedures -      To identify and select suppliers according to PU-AMI orders -      To order items in other base if needed -      To control the quality and quantity of merchandises in the base.     Ø Archive -      To archive and centralize logistic files -      To settle purchase files -      To gather archives from programs (with HoB support) -      To ship the archives to Beirut to be prepared to be sent to the Head Quarter   Ø Cars and transportation -      To manage transportation for PU-AMI staff (mission and program) -      To organise movement planning in and out of the Base -      To coordinate car management with Log/Admin -      To provide items and materials from the supplier to the requester (included on the field if needed). -      To manage and follow the accidents procedure in liaison with the base logistician and to process to the paper work accordingly -      To use PU-AMI transportation’s procedures -      To make sure that questions of safety relating to the utilization of vehicles are appropriately addressed   Ø Management -      To supervise the work of the logisitcs assistants, the drivers and the purchaser -      To supervise driver’s planning (according to the program’s needs, to the driver’s day-off, to the mission needs) -      To participate in the recruitment of the logistician team   Ø Equipment -      To follow up assets inventory and send the changes information to the Log/Admin to update assets list -      To report equipment list every month. -      To follow up and check physically equipment with the logistics assistant every month and update the list To dispatch equipment on the base according to the needs (and to update equipment list) Ø Storage -      To monitor the storage in liaision with the store manager  according to the PU-AMI storage procedures and tools -      To supervise in liaison with the store manager the fluxes in merchandise, make sure of the quality of the goods received and carry physically checks of stocked marchandises.   -          Ø Coordination -      To be linked to the Log/Admin -      To ensure that logistics information is effectively circulated between teams on the field and with the Log/Admin -      To attend program meeting if needed (recommended).     Ø Security -      To share security information with Log/Admin and HoB -      To follow up the security equipment management -      To follow up the evacuation modality and the checklist update   Ø Reporting -      Monthly report pack with all reporting documents should be sent to the Logistic Coordinator on the 5th of each month including the following document: Internal Contact List, Assets List, Inventory List, Mission Catalogue, Stock Report, Purchase Request Follow Up, and the Procurement Plans for the projects.   Ø IT -      To be able to solve computer hardware problems -      To be able to configure emails on Microsoft outlook 2007 -      To be able to configure routers -      To be able to install modem internet connection -      To be able to learn fast and to understand the computer technical   The tasks and responsabilities of the Base Logistician mentionned above are not thorough and may be subject to evolve depending on the needs PU-AMI may have.

Mandatory requierements

 Language Skills: Fluent in English and Arabic, (speaking/reading/writing).
 Education Degree: BT degree in the related field or equivalent
 Work experience: Experience in NGOs/private companies in logisitcs
 Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office , good skills in networking and Internet

 Other knowledge: Acquaintance with INGO' rules, procedures and regulations
