Data Entry Officer
Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious humanitarian NGO. Its objective is to bring about a global response to the basic needs of populations suffering from acute humanitarian crisis and to allow them to recover their autonomy and dignity.
Today, PU-AMI intervenes in 21 countries in Africa, the Near East, Caucasus, Asia and the Caribbean to cover the needs of populations affected by conflict, natural disasters or economic crises.
PU-AMI Lebanon has been implementing emergency and recovery projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Shelter Rehabilitation, Health and Livelihood Recovery sectors.
POSITION GENERAL INFORMATION
Position: Data Entry Officer
Based in: Halba, Akkar, Lebanon
Supervision
Under the direct supervision of: Information Manager
Supervision of : Project Quality Coordinator
Under the overall supervision of: Field Coordinator
OVERALL MISSION
General objective
The Data Entry Officer has to ensure a correct and timely computerization of all the data collected by the base project team on field level
Responsibilities and tasks
Investigation, Evaluation and Problem Solving
To conduct an in-depth evaluation of archived data in relation to achieved project activities
To work closely with multiple departments, including logistics, to evaluate current and previous practices and processes
To provide realistic solutions to existing problems related to data management and inter-department collaboration
To report to the Project Quality Coordinator on a regular basis about the process
Data Entry and data verification
To ensure a timely and qualitative input of all data collected on field level by the project team
To validate the filled paper forms ahead of the data entry
To enter and manage data regarding assigned implemented projects
To translate data from Arabic into English (if needed)
To support the Information Manager with the basic data analysis in preparation of reports
To link all the data gathered on the field by the field officers
Archiving
To archive Base Program documents (Filled forms, Empty forms, etc.) respecting the mission archiving policy and the Information Manager directives
Reporting
To give a daily and precise report about the achievements to the line manager

QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory requirements
Language Skills : Fluent in English and Arabic (speaking/reading/writing)
Education Degree : University degree or Technical diploma in a Computer related field
Work experience : previous experience in the IT domain in NGOs and/or private companies
Computer Skills :
Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Access (Data Manipulation and Report generation)
Very Good Typing Skills
Assets
Other knowledge : Acquaintance with INGOs rules, procedures and regulations
Interest : Work in relief, interest for refugees issues
