GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Supervisor or Manager, the Driver has to ensure the daily transportation of PU-AMI staff and goods, following the established schedules, as well as the maintenance and safety of PU-AMI vehicles.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

TRANSPORTATION

  • Drive PU-AMI staff, or other staff to any place for professional purpose only and ensure the safety of all passengers;
  • Drive PU-AMI materials and equipment for professional purpose only and help for the loading and unloading of the vehicle;
  • Park the vehicles in accordance with PU-AMI safety rules.

MAINTENANCE

  • Ensure the checking of the car fleet (logbook, fuel card usual checking, etc.) in coordination with the Fleet Officer;
  • Check all the documents of the vehicles and their validity, including car insurance papers;
  • Ensure the maintenance of the car fleet: fuel, cleaning, checking, and repairs;
  • Fill in the logbook for every movement according to PU-AMI rules;
  • Provide support in the maintenance of the premises.

SECURITY

  • Share security information with the line manager & security focal point in the office;
  • Make sure all his/her passengers put on their security belt;
  • Follow PU-AMI driving rules and regulations;
  • Understand and obey traffic law and regulations.

SUPPORT

  • Help with any task related to the activities/or structure of the mission when required by his/her line manager.

Mandatory requirements

Language skills:

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking/reading/writing).

Work experience:

  • Significant experience in driving

Other:

  • Mechanical and electrical skills;
  •  Knowledge of PU-AMI working areas;
  •  Valid public driving license (at least 2 years);
  • Being flexible, adapt easily to changes , and reorganize priorities according to needs;
  • Ability to work in, cope up with stress and pressure, and to adjust to different situations;
  • Ability and eagerness to work with different cultures.
