Food Security Field Officer

General Requirements:   Obligatory qualifications   -          Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking/reading/writing). -          Education Degree: Baccalaureate/University degree in the related fields. -          Work experience: Proven experience in NGOs in distributions or emergency relief operations -          Computer skills: Good knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Excel, Power Point. Other: Good knowledge of the Beirut, Mount Lebanon and South governorates geography, willing to travel a lot locally and valid driving license are obligatory; Excellent communication and diplomacy skills to manage relationship in potentially tense situations; Literacy in reporting, and experience in conducting surveys. Capacity and experience in working in unsafe environments Great mobility and willingness to overnight stay   Wished qualifications   Experience in the social/humanitarian field Knowledge of food security and/or nutrition Conflict resolution and diplomacy experience Understanding of the political situation in the area Reliability Ability to take initiative to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work; Capacity to work in an multidisciplinary and multicultural team Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation within a mission or the organisation itself; Well organized; Hard worker; Able to manage stress and pressure; Able to check information, logical; Neutral;   Objectives The field officer implements the vouchers distributions, food assistance project and impact assessment surveys activities on the field level, under coordination of the management staff. The position requires extensive local travels and thorough community work.   Tasks and Responsibilities Participate in the identification of potential project beneficiaries through the needs assessment in the targeted area according to the project criteria. Implement a detailed (PRE/POST) assessment of each selected beneficiary need for food security and satisfaction. Conduct surveys using specific formats Ensure timely distribution of the vouchers to the beneficiaries, with continuous monitoring of proper use. Ensure field level monitoring of the vouchers use and food purchases with the beneficiaries and the shops. Be in regular and direct contact with beneficiaries Contribute to work related reports Participate in the implementation of the project impact survey. Participate in the referral of refugees to the UNHCR registration process Accomplish any other tasks assigned by supervisor
