Health Field Worker

Ø Position: Field Worker Ø Component: Health Ø Based in: Akkar     Supervision   Ø Under the direct supervision of:      Health Team Leader Ø Under the indirect supervision of:   Health Project Manager Ø Supervision of    :                          Community members Ø Under the overall supervision of:     Field Program Coordinator         OVERALL MISSION   General objective   Under the direct supervision of  the Health Team Leader, the Health Field Worker is responsible for providing quality information and health education in order to ensure access to health care by Syrian refugees with respect of PU-AMI overall principles. He/she directly provide quality information and health education to Syrian refugees.   Responsibilities and tasks   Ø Activities implementation -            Ensure the provision of health education to Syrian refugees on the topics related to hygiene, maternal and child health, nutrition and other topics according to their needs. -            Ensure the effective and timely distribution of hygiene and baby kits to Syrian refugees. -            To assist in health-related trainings, monitoring and awareness raising with Syrian communities generally.   The tasks and responsabilities defined in this job description are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on the project needs.     QUALIFICATIONS   Mandatory requirements   Ø Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic, good command of English. Ø Education Degree: Bac II. Ø Work experience: Proven experience in NGOs. Ø Computer Skills: Excellent knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Excel, Outlook Ø Other requirements -         Good knowledge of Akkar Governorate geography -         Excellent communication (especially in public), diplomacy skills and strong community engagement. -         Literacy in monitoring and reporting. -         Good understanding of public health, hygiene and related topics.   Assets   Ø Interest: Work in relief, interest for social issues  Ø Transversal skills -         Understanding and compliance with humanitarian principles -         Valid driving licence (1 year minimum) -         Strong motivation to help people in need -         Conflict resolution experience -         Understanding of the political situation in the area -         Reliability -         Ability to take initiative to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work -         Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team -         Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation -         Ability to analyze and suggest improvements to the activities -         Well organized and hard worker -         Able to manage stress and pressure -         Able to check information, logical -         Neutral
