1. GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The IT Officer supports the Logistics Coordinator in ensuring the proper functioning, efficiency and security of IT equipment and tools at mission level. S/he provides support and guidance to the teams with regards to IT management, supports in the drafting and implementation of IT procedures, and monitors their application.Role and Responsibilities

1. Data Management and Security:
- Participates in the design, selection, and implementation of technical solutions for data storage, sharing, and security at mission level in coordination with field and HQ teams;
- Installs, configures, and manages the NAS. In addition, s/he verifies that the system is functioning properly;
- Supervises the data backup and data security procedures at mission level. In addition, s/he ensures required technical means (hardware, antivirus, networks) are available and operational;
- For the coordination office:
- Responsible for the implementation of the data backup procedure through regular reminders and verifications with all departments;
- Ensures all computers use an updated antivirus as per PU-AMI standards.
- Once the mission migration to office 365 is completed, supports users in getting started with office 365 tools;
- Checks that each user has a correct configuration of OneDrive for their local data backup;
- Configures correctly the routers to secure each base environment;
- Reports any issue or breach of data security procedures ;
- Elect environment security(antivirus) or firewall;
- Diagnosis and resolution of routine hardware and software issues;
- Support core applications such as Office 365, Teams, and Box ;
- Update appropriate network security and data loss prevention procedures to safeguard system from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data;
- Maintain PUI computer software/hardware inventory ensuring accuracy;
- Create and maintain network documentation to include IP address, system access, email creation system, upgrades, changes to original network, and others;
- Create, implement, and manage backup solutions for office/individual users and provide the necessary training on the use of these back-up solutions;
- Investigate local Internet connectivity options to obtain adequate bandwidth for Intranet and application connectivity.
2. IT Management Procedures:
- Drafts procedures and defines standards for IT management at mission level (data backup and security, configuration standards, users guidelines and rules, and others) in coordination with Logistics Coordinator and HQ technical referent;
- Supports the implementation of procedures and standards at mission level through trainings, guidelines sharing, and weekly visits to field offices;
- Monitors the implementation and compliance with IT management procedures at mission level and reports any issue;
- Prepare and submit reports that provide sufficient detail for Logistics Coordinator to understand the country office’s computer environment, needs, IT staff availability, skill levels, and future plans;
- Keep an up-to-date ICT asset register in close collaboration with Logistics Supervisor/officer by performing monthly asset verifications for all IT assets in the Lebanon offices including software & licenses;
- Create and maintain PUI computer software/hardware inventory ensuring accuracy.
3. IT Park and Maintenance:
- Receives requests and provides technical support to field teams for maintenance of IT equipment either through internal or external solutions;
- Follows-up on the condition and capacity of the IT park at mission level and consolidates needs for maintenance, replacement and procurement, and reports them to the Logistics Coordinator;
- Provides support for purchases of IT equipment (needs definition, specifications, and evaluation of offers);
- Responsible for the maintenance of all IT equipment at coordination office;
- Draft PRs that require technical input from IT department and listing needed specifications according to program needs ;
- Windows server and access management;
- Installation & configuration of laptops, printers, and peripherals;
- Management of software installation either manually or using remote deployment tools;
- Local Area Network, wireless network, essential network services peer-to-peer or client server architecture, as appropriate;
- Support the rollout of office 365.
4.Emails Management:
- Be the focal point at mission level for all issues related to email addresses management: receives requests, coordinates with HQ, and follows-up for all addition or configuration of email addresses;
- Follows-up all email addresses setup and access information at mission level and ensures confidentiality of this information as per PU-AMI standards;
- Ensure updated key pass for all software across the mission.
5. Internet Provision:
- Be the focal point for the configuration of the internet provision setup at coordination office, receives any requests or complaints, and liaises with the supplier to solve them;
- Monitors the reliability and efficiency of internet provision services and equipment for all PU-AMI offices and GHs in Lebanon;
- Provides technical feedback on alternative internet provision options available and supports the selection process.
Mandatory requirements
- Language skills: Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken, read, written).
- Education degree: University degree in computer science.
- Work experience: 2-5 years of experience in IT and system support, including:
- o Experience installing, configuring, and managing both wired and wireless LAN;
- o Experience with using Office 365 and with configuring and administering Windows operating systems (Windows Server & Active Directory experience desirable);
- o Relevant qualification and/or experience of networking, including both hardware and software configuration, ideally MCSE/CCNA level;
- o NGO experience is a plus.
- Knowledge and skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (AD, DNS, TCP/IP, GPO), router and firewall configuration, Microsoft Office, and Office 365.
- Computer Languages: VBA, VBScript.
- Other: Valid driving license (minimum 1 year).
