LIVELIHOOD FIELD OFFICER Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious humanitarian NGO. Its objective is to bring about a global response to the basic needs of populations suffering from acute humanitarian crisis and to allow them to recover their autonomy and dignity. In close respect to humanitarian principles, PU-AMI promotes humanitarian access and dialogue with all components of the civil society in Lebanon, and delivers assistance based on the needs, regardless of religion, politics and ethnic matters.      Today, PU-AMI is intervening in 21 countries in Africa, the Near East, Caucasus, Asia and the Caribbean to cover the needs of populations affected by conflict, natural disasters or economic crises.     PU-AMI in Lebanon has been implementing emergency and recovery projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, in Shelter Rehabilitation, Health and in Livelihood Recovery sectors.     Under the direct supervision of         Livelihood Team Leader Under the technical supervision         Infrastructure Project Manager Under the overall supervision            Field Coordinator     1-            GENERAL OBJECTIVE Under the direct supervision of the Livelihoods Team Leader, the Livelihoods Field Officer has to ensure and implement the Food for Training (FFT) for female participants in Akkar on a field level and to respond to donor’s special requests as needed   RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS   ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES                      Activities implementation   -              Identify and select beneficiaries for the Food for Training (FFT); -              Register beneficiaries and regularly monitor their attendance; -              Be on a daily contact with beneficiaries, listen to their needs and problems and refer to the Team Leader as needed for answers; -              Participate in the implementation of the project impact surveys; -              Carry out additional household assessments as needed.                   Assessment and reporting   -              Participate in the assessment and impact surveys (baseline/end line); -              Report every day the progress and challenges to the Team Leader; -              Support other staff in data collection as requested.                     Communication & Follow up   -              Respond to beneficiaries’ queries with good knowledge of relevant information; -              Respond to donor’s requests for special cases which need individual attention and follow their progress.   The tasks and responsibilities defined in this job description are non-exhaustive and can evolve depending on the project’s needs.   2-            PRIORITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT   -              Quality and on time submission of documents -              Follow up on attendance and progress of participants MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS                 Language skills: Fluent in English & Arabic                 Education degree: Baccalaureate / On-site training in social work, relief work or related fields                 Work experience: 1 year experience in a similar position (NGOs/private companies) in a social work/ humanitarian context. Experience in working with female based projects is essential.                 Computer skills: Basic computer skills, knowledgeable with MS Office suite.                 Other:                 Valid driving license (1 year minimum)                 Intermediate knowledge in in humanitarian and social work, and relief operations                 Good knowledge of Beirut and Mount Lebanon area, willing to travel a lot locally and valid driving license   ASSETS                 Interests: Work in relief, interest for social issues                 Transversals skills:                 Strong motivation to help people in need                 Conflict resolution and diplomacy experience                 Ability to take initiative to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work                 Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team                 Well organized and hard worker                 Able to manage stress and pressure                 Able to check information, logical                 Neutral
