Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious humanitarian NGO. Its objective is to provide a comprehensive response, in line with humanitarian principles and applying both needs based and rights based approaches, to conflict affected populations. PU-AMI promotes humanitarian access and dialogue with all components of the civil society and reinforces the capacity of each vulnerable community (refugees, vulnerable host community) to become self-reliant and resilient, by responding to immediate needs and strengthening their socio-economic empowerment.  

Today, PU-AMI is intervening in 21 countries in Africa, the Near East, Caucasus, Asia and the Caribbean to cover the needs of populations affected by conflict, natural disasters or economic crises.

PU-AMI in Lebanon has been implementing emergency and recovery projects in Shelter, Protection, Health including mental health and psychosocial (MHPSS) interventions.

Job Description:

1- GENERAL OBJECTIVE

The MEAL Enumerator supports the MEAL team in implementing monitoring and evaluation activities across programs, particularly through field and/or remote data collection.

2- RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Under the supervision of M&E Officer, the MEAL Enumerator will:

  • Participate in a pre-data collection training session on tools, methodologies, procedures, and FCRM for effective data collection.
  • Provide regular daily updates to the M&E Officers regarding data collection progress, including challenges or issues encountered.
  • Ensure that all collected data is accurately entered into the designated tool and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Achieve the daily data collection target as set by the team, ensuring quality.
  • Follow all procedures to maintain the validity, reliability, and confidentiality of the data collected.
  • Respect respondents’ privacy, obtain informed consent, and ensure ethical behavior during the data collection process.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and maintain open lines of communication for support.
  • Ensure proper handling and functionality of logistical devices deployed during data collection.
  • Identify cases requiring referrals, ensure accurate completion of the necessary form, and promptly share with the M&E Officers for further action.

5- Job Requirements:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Language Skills: Fluency in Arabic as a native language; ability to read and understand English

Education Degree: High school diploma or equivalent (university degree is an asset). 

Work experience: Previous experience in collecting data through surveys within humanitarian contexts

Computer skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office

Other requirement

  • Proficient in using mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox) 
  • Ability to handle digital devices (smartphones/tablets) and troubleshoot minor issues 
  • Flexibility to attend and complete training before data collection 
  • Immediate availability upon request. 

Other knowledge:

  • Acquaintance with INGO' rules, procedures, regulations and humanitarian principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and high data accuracy

PUI-AMI Employment Conditions and Benefits:

Status: Daily Worker (On-Call basis); A maximum of 9 days per month.

Location: North and Akkar Governorates

Wage: 50 USD per day
