Medical Field Supervisor

Responsibilities and tasks   Ø Ensuring the quality of the health activities -       Provide technical support for the implementation and management of the medical activities implemented in the framework of the referral system -       Ensure that the preventive and curative healthcare services are properly implemented (following the national protocols and referral procedures) and managed by the partner health facilities -       In coordination with the Medical Doctor, evaluate the needs of the health facilities in terms of training, supply, etc. -       Monitor and make recommendations concerning organization of   health facilities for easy flow of patients. -       Monitor and make recommendations concerning hygiene in the health facilities. -       Ensure, in collaboration with the entire medical team, that health care is provided with respect of the prices agreed upon by PU-AMI and the partner centers. -       Weekly  monitoring  of trends of disease under surveillance   and reporting to the Medical Doctor. -       Monitor the organization of the staff, including working hours, and report to the Medical Doctor the difficulties and the changes needed. -       Ensure an accurate follow-up of the drugs consumption and the rational use of drugs in the partner health facilities, analysis and reorientation if necessary in collaboration with the Medical Doctor. -       Contribute to improving safe prescribing and administration of medications as well as control unnecessary prescribing of the medications and medical tests. -       Propose the ways to deal with any referral cases that require an extensive investigation and management with coordination with the medical doctor. -       Propose the ways to update existing tools and procedures in collaboration with the Medical Doctor. -       Analyze the needs of the beneficiaries in terms of access to health . -       Follow up of weekly activities of Mobile Medical Unit on sites and at the supporting  health facilities.   Ø Capacity building -       In coordination with the Medical Doctor, provide necessary support to the partner health facilities in terms of the activities implementation (training, capacity building)   Ø Data collection and reporting -         In collaboration with the Medical Doctor, ensure a direct supervision of the Health Information System for medical data collection. -         Ensure the monthly monitoring of the indicators (internal and external). -         Participate in writing of all required medical reports (for PU-AMI, donors, partners, etc) -         Weekly reporting of audited medical records at PHC’s currently signed with PU-AMI to the medical Doctor. -         Weekly visits to assigned PHC’s for analysis and evaluation of their operating PHC Services. -         Participate in the monthly reporting system, summarizing the months’ activity.       The tasks and responsabilities of the Medical field Supervisor mentioned above are not thorough and may be subject to evolve depending on the needs PU-AMI may have.     Supervision   Under the direct supervision of: Medical Doctor Direct supervision of: None Under the overall supervision of: Health Project Manager and Head of Base
