Outreach Activities Field Officer

General objective   Under the direct supervision of the Health Project Manager, the focal point for outreach activities is responsible for the qualitative, quantitative and timely implementation of the activities linked to CSMC and CBSS.   He/she directly implements the software activities (information sharing, building trustful relationships with the community, referring individual/collective cases…) with the help of the focal points, keeping a focus on the early identification of communicable diseases.   He/She will also be responsible for providing quality information, health education and hygiene promotion to beneficiaries for disease prevention and increase their access to healthcare, while respecting PU-AMI’s overall principles.   Responsibilities and tasks  I.          Activities implementation   a.      Implement CSMC/CBSS program activities which mainly consists in: -        Build trustful relation with the community through the Self-Management Committee -        Report and refer individual/collective cases and ensure proper follow-up   b.     Implement CBSS activities as per guidance of the Health Project Manager: -        Ensure the dissemination of information about the referral system to the beneficiaries -        Ensure the CBSS Focal Points are identified, trained and follow up for all cases -        Ensure that environmental health risk are identified and reported -        Responsible for the mapping services for the referrals -        Responsible for the health hotline regarding the potential outbreaks   c.      Implement HPHE sessions as per guidance of the Health Project Manager -        Participate in health-related needs assessments -        Participate in the implementation of the project impact survey -        Ensure the provision of health education to Syrian refugees on the topics related to hygiene, maternal and child health, nutrition and other topics according to their needs -        In collaboration with the Health Project Manager and Health Coordinator, participate in the creation and dissemination of IEC (Information, Education, Communication) material -        Anticipate on the planning of the HPHE sessions -        Ensure the dissemination of information about the referral system to the beneficiaries -        Ensure field level monitoring of the health education related activities -        Respect the confidentiality of the beneficiaries       II.          Communication & Follow-up -          Presence on the different collective sites and respond to beneficiaries queries with good knowledge of relevant information -          Identify and refer special cases which need individual/collective attention and follow their progress with the different stakeholders   Reporting -        Contribute to work related reports -        Report immediately any delay, problem or other relevant information to the his/her manager -        Immediately report any potential outbreaks to the Health Program Manager     QUALIFICATIONS   Mandatory requirements   Language Skills: Fluent in English and Arabic Education Degree: University degree health-related field preferred  in Nursing Work experience: Proven experience in NGOs (Minimum 3 years) Computer Skills: Excellent knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Excel, Outlook Other requirements -        Valid driving license (2 years minimum) -        Good knowledge of Saida geography, willing to travel a lot locally -        Excellent communication (especially in public) and diplomacy skills to manage relationships in potentially tense situations -        Literacy in reporting, experience in conducting surveys   Assets   Interest: Work in relief, interest for social issues  Transversal skills -      Strong motivation to help people in need -        Conflict resolution and diplomacy experience -        Understanding of the political situation in the area -        Reliability -        Ability to take initiative to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work -        Capacity to work in an multidisciplinary and multicultural team -        Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation within a mission or the organization itself -        Ability to analyze and suggest improvements of the activities -        Well organized and hard worker -        Able to manage stress and pressure -        Able to check information, logical -        Ability to remain neutral
