Partnership Advisor

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programs: S/he will ensure implementation and oversight of all activities implemented by the local partners and included in the scope of signed sub-agreements of Memorandum of Understanding
  • Human Resources: S/he will be able to conduct due diligences on potential partners on human resources management
  • Logistics and Administration: S/he will be able to conduct due diligences on potential partners on logistic and administration
  • Representation: S/he will represent PU-AMI externally with the national NGOs
  • Safety and Security: Strictly follow security and safety rules as decided by the management of the mission
  • Strategy: Will develop tools for decision making: stakeholders mapping and analysis, capacity assessments

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES AND LINKED ACTIVITIES

1. Partnership management: 

  • Research and conduct stakeholders mapping and analysis per sector/region
  • Conduct assessment on the capacities of the local partners on program implementation, grant management, Monitoring and evaluation, reporting, HR, Finance, Logistic, Administration
  • Manage all aspects of the sub-agreement implementation implemented by PU-AMI local partner
  • Be the focal point for reporting for the local partners

2.Programs:

  • Follow-up activities implementation of the local partner as per sub-agreement, MoU, logical framework and work plan.
  • Coordinate with relevant Project Manager(s), Field Coordinator(s) and/or Technical Coordinators for all of their activities linked the project;
  • Support the local partner for the definition and development of guidelines, methodologies and tools for activities implementation planned in the project.
  • Build and Supervise local partner capacity to implement Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning activities to ensure quality intervention in the frame of the partnership.
  • Ensure the capacity building of the local partner through external or internal trainings, regular support and counselling, etc.
  • Support the local partner in other program-related tasks: reporting, project cycle management, etc.

3. Human Resources: 

  • Conduct due diligences and capacity assessment on selected local partners.
  • Design capacity building plans on human resources management and follow up on its implementation

4.Finance:   

  • Conduct due diligences and capacity assessment on selected local partners.
  • Design capacity building plans on financial management and follow up on its implementation
  • Follow up on financial reporting from the local partners

5.Logistics:

  • Conduct due diligences and capacity assessment on selected local partners.
  • Design capacity building plans on logistic management and follow up on its implementation
  • Follow up on logistic reporting from the local partners

6.Internal and External Reporting: 

  • Follow up on reporting from the local partners
  • Internal reporting on the potential and ongoing partnerships

7.Capitalization/ Institutional Knowledge Building: 

  • Implement a capitalization tool to keep lessons learnt from local partnership between PU-AMI and civil society actors

8.Ensure the representation of PU-AMI: 

  • Represent PU-AMI in the day to day work with local partners

9. Contribute to the development of new proposals/ partnerships: 

  • Actively participate in the development of strategies and proposal by ensuring updated database on local partners per area/sector and their capacities to manage a grant
