Water Sanitation And Hygiene Promotion Field Officer

Under the supervision of the Wash Project Manager, the Water Sanitation and Hygiene Field Officer is responsible for the qualitative, quantitative and timely implementation of the activities of the WASH projects on the field level.   Tasks and Responsibilities   To implement assessments on the field and purpose new beneficiaries, to collect data on the need in terms of Hygiene and water and sanitation facility upgrading, through surveys of specific format, and observation, To carry out signature of formal contracts for the implementation of works with beneficiaries, owner and local authorities and explain clearly its terms to all the parties to ensure its well understanding, To analyze the needs of the beneficiary population in terms of Water and Sanitation and make a detailed description of the construction works to be achieved (for instance sanitation facility and water tanks infrastructure), To visit under construction units to assess quality and quantity of work achievement, To deal with the contractors and workers to enforce respect of the technical specifications, To punctually participate in distribution operations (water filters, hygiene kits distribution vouchers…) and ensure the appropriate training at a Household level (use and maintenance), with continuous monitoring of proper use, To participate in the design and preparation of Hygiene Promotion Sessions and their support tools, To participate in Hygiene Awareness and promotion sessions at household level, in public session or organizing public events, To be in regular and direct contact with beneficiaries, Participate in identification and referrals of special hardship cases, To report on the level of achievement of works and any issues on the field level at the Project Manager or his assistant daily, To ensure field level monitoring of the quality of all works implemented within the scope of the project, and participate in the implementation of the project impact survey and evaluation, To accomplish any other tasks assigned by its Supervisor
