Core Responsibilities & Duties
Provide direct support and care for LGBTI individuals’ survivors of sexual-gender-based violence, including counseling and basic case management (Assessment of needs, developing an action plan; implementing the plan, appropriate following & case closure).
Implement the outreach activities about SGBV and violence against Lebanese and non-Lebanese LGBTIs.
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner and incorporate manager feedback.
Participate in weekly supervision meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care and appropriate case management.
As requested undertake/participate in liaison, coordination, and information sharing activities with national NGO’s, international Organizations.
Assess the needs and priorities of the targeted beneficiaries and define suitable activities based on participatory approach.
Set up appropriate timetable for psychosocial support, vocational training and educational activities.
Follow-up attendance of vocational trainings, report absences and propose appropriate measures when needed.
Counsel individuals, groups, families, or communities regarding issues including mental health, poverty, unemployment, substance abuse, physical abuse, rehabilitation, social adjustment, childcare, and/or medical care.
Update file for each beneficiary.
Follow-up with trainers and beneficiary.
Organize a monthly meeting with trainers
Organize referrals and follow-up cases.
Maintain case history records and prepare reports.
Any other job or related task as determined by the supervisor.
Job Requirement
Clear understanding of gender / sexual identities inequality, and issues surrounding this community.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients at all times is essential.
Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
Ability to work as a member of a team essential.
Ability to communicate in English and write clear and concise reports.
Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Personal qualities: works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
Fluency in English and Arabic

1. Reporting as per job description. 2. Maintain fully detailed data of beneficiaries. 3. Internal interactions with different departments via the ongoing referral system.
