Social Media and Communication Intern

Qarama is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization founded on the belief that human dignity is paramount; and that everyone, regardles of their identity, should be cherished and regarded for who they are and what they believe.

Qarama's mission in Lebanon is to promote a dignified and protective environment for the most vulnerable women, children, and youth in Lebanon - regardless of identity and through an intersectional and all inclusive approach. 

 

Qarama is in search of a cultivated and dedicated social media and communication intern to join and support our team.

The activities the intern will be involved in range across our various projects and programs, however they are mostly related social media, graphic design, writing, and editing. It is important to conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in accordance to the organization's code of conduct and policies.

Activities include: 

  • Create a wide range of content for Qarama's channels (social media posts, articles, newsletter, blog, press release, videos, and others).
  • Support in the process of punlishing and posting. 
  • Report media and social media stories about Qarama activities and the issues the organization tackles.
  • Cooperate with the team and support each other on activities. 

Competencies include: 

  • Fluency/working proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal).
  • Strong team player and experienced collaborator.
  • Skilled in graphic design / video editing / community management / content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within a given timeframe. 
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Willing to learn new skills and to share your skills with others.
