TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the planning, development, and delivery of educational activities, ensuring alignment with program goals.
- Supervise, mentor, and support educators, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of educators, providing feedback to enhance program delivery.
- Develop lesson plans, workshops, and educational materials in collaboration with the educators and partners.
- Ensure that both physical and remote learning activities meet the needs of different age groups and abilities.
- Track student attendance, progress, and engagement, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of educational activities and adjust as needed.
- Ensure that pre- and post-tests are conducted, analyzed, and documented.
- Report on project challenges, successes, and recommendations to the Program Manager.
- Coordinate schedules, tasks, and roles for the team of educators to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Organize and facilitate training and capacity-building sessions for educators.
- Conduct regular team meetings to promote communication and collaboration.
- Foster a positive working environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among educators.
- Lead outreach efforts to identify beneficiaries and assess community needs in coordination with the team.
- Organize and conduct awareness sessions for caregivers to enhance their involvement in their children’s education.
- Oversee the distribution of learning materials and ensure effective use by students.
- Track and follow up on referrals for children needing additional support services.
- Conduct field visits, including to collective shelters, to monitor program activities and engage with the community.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, including child protection and safeguarding standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, volunteers, and partners to align activities with organizational goals.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of experience in the education sector, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience working in NGOs or social organizations focused on education, child development, or community outreach.
- Experience in planning, organizing, and delivering educational programs (in-person and remote) for children from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds.
- Strong experience in mentoring and leading teams, with a focus on professional development.
- Familiarity with managing student data, attendance, and reporting using digital tools like Excel and Word.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (a master’s degree is a plus).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor and support a diverse team of educators.
- Proficiency in planning and managing physical and remote learning activities.
- Digital literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting children’s well-being and academic success.
