Sewing and Tailoring Trainer in West Bekaa

Specific duties and responsibilities
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Teaching basic sewing, develop lesson plans and organizes daily classes
• Train caregivers on how to operate a sewing machine and provides instructions on sewing skills. 
• Provide instruction and demonstration of basic stitching, use of clothing items, and of different type of fabrics.  
• Teach methods for mending clothes such as loosening or tightening or repairing a tear, working with patterns, taking accurate measurements, etc.
 

Target Audience: 
• Female caregivers’ beneficiaries 
• Mixed classes of Youth and Adults (18-50 years old), Syrians and Palestinians.
 

Required: 
• Experience in working with the local environment 
• Minimum of 1-year experience teaching in NGOs. 
• Demonstrate understanding of working with vulnerable trainees, ability to respect the participants’ culture and beliefs and the ability to treat them all equally
